We started Vanillawood when we moved to Portland from Los Angeles. What started as flipping high-end spec houses (after we fell in love with the whole process of designing and remodeling our first house in LA) quickly turned into client-driven, custom projects.

 

Our first design studio/retail store in the Pearl District came out of the necessity to move out of our home office to make room for our third son. Since then, the business has grown and while we were looking for new spaces to expand, we discovered Lake Oswego and immediately fell in love with the community. We are now lucky enough to live, work, and have our kids go to school within a five-mile radius.

 

At Vanillawood we create, design, build and furnish spaces with an aesthetic that has been indelibly informed by our time living in Italy (where we met ♥), New York, Los Angeles and now Portland.

 

In 2006 we opened our doors. Today we are a bustling, full-service design/build and interior design firm with an online shop where we get to work with an amazing team of talented humans.
